Now Accepting Applications for Summer 2022
VAGABOND CAMPS ARE AVAILABLE IN 4 & 6-WEEK SESSIONS FOR KIDS AGE 10-15. KIDS WILL BE PART OF OUR CAMPING CARAVAN THAT WILL HEAD OUT WEST TO VISIT THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LANDSCAPES IN THE MOST ICONIC NATIONAL PARKS AND OTHER AMAZING PLACES IN BETWEEN. THEY WILL CAMP IN TENTS AND NOT ONLY HAVE THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME BUT ALSO DEVELOP ESSENTIAL OUTDOOR SKILLS.
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
One of the longest stops on the Vagabond Camps adventure is Yellowstone National Park where we set up camp for a few days to experience the vast land, waterfalls and wildlife like Bison, Elk, and Bears. We will hone our fly fishing skills and of course visit the hypothermal and geological wonders like the geysers including Old Faithful. We will also spend time at neighboring Grand Teton National Park where we will float down the Snake River.
Our trip will make a stop at Glacier National Park in Montana's Rocky Mountains. Here where the peaks and valleys have been carved out by glaciers is where we can canoe and hike to the picturesque Hidden Lake and hope to run into a local Mountain Goat on the way.
A stop in California's Sierra Nevada mountains will bring 6-week campers to Yosemite National Park with its breathtaking granite cliffs and ancient sequoia trees where the campers will tour the valley floors, waterfalls, and the infamous El Capitan and Half Dome with plenty of time for relaxing and downtime in between to really soak it all in.
REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK
When we reach Northern California campers will measure up to the some of the tallest trees on earth when we visit Redwood National Park. Park rangers will share their vast knowledge and take us on a kayak tour and a hunt for tide pool creatures.
BANFF NATIONAL PARK
Our 6 week campers will venture across the boarder into Canada to visit their oldest national park in Alberta's Rocky Mountains. Picturesque mountain peaks, turquoise glacial lakes, ice fields, and abundant wildlife make this a location campers will never forget. A dip in the natural hot springs will be icing on the cake.
CANYONLAND & ARCHES NATIONAL PARK
Here our 4 week campers will see the world's largest concentration of natural stone arches and be able to hike and explore two iconic national parks. Here you can see for 100 miles with breathtaking panoramic views.
GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK
We could not miss our very own natural wonder of the world whose layered bands of redrock carved out by the Colorado River reveal millions of years of geological history. Campers will take a mule ride to the canyon floor to spend an evening camping away from the crowds.
